I am now seeking a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager able to run their own projects to join a firm of consultants in Southampton.

Ideally you should be able to work relatively unsupervised

Experience of both pre and post contract work is essential with experience across a range of building projects as they are working on schools, colleges, residential and office projects.

You should have worked for another firm of consultant PQS or similar to have gained the right experience.

My client is a firm of multi disciplinary construction consultants doing pre and post contract quantity surveying, cost management, project management, building surveying and architecture for a range of clients across the UK and further afield.

They are working on high value projects.

They offer good prospects and support for CPD.

Ideally you will have a BSc Hons, Diploma or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering and you will have around five years or more experience of working on both mechanical and electrical engineering services as a quantity surveyor having worked for a firm of PQS or consultants.

You may be chartered with the RICS or similar as you must be able to run your own MEP projects.

Preferred experience will include both pre contract work e.g. feasibility, cost plans, cost estimating, tender documentation etc. through to post contract work to include contract administration, variations, valuations etc.

Salary is highly negotiable for the right candidate plus good benefits.
