Community Safety Officer
Environmental Health or Acoustics qualified Community Safety Officer required in South West London.

This South West London based public sector organisation is currently looking to recruit a Community Safety Officer to join their Community Safety team within their Neighbourhoods & Growth division.
The team are responsible delivering community safety related problem solving activities; which support the delivery of neighbourhood based crime & disorder, as well as anti-social behaviour reduction strategies. This team are also expected to deliver a wide range of statutory enforcement and regulatory functions which meet the needs of citizens, local businesses and partner organisations.
Your new role
As a community Safety Officer you are required to respond to a wide range of offending behaviour through way of investigation of noise nuisance and environmental crime as well as case management of anti-social behaviour reports. You will work in close partnership with internal departments, partner agencies and statutory bodies to challenge, deter and prevent various forms of anti-social behaviour and low level public disorder. Additional responsibilities include:
* Investigate anti-social behaviour, environmental crime and statutory nuisance offences on behalf of citizens and other stakeholders and utilise the full range of statutory powers to take robust enforcement action to tackle recurrent offending behaviour.
* Investigate all ASB complaints including Hate Crime and Street Population related issues and contribute positively to multi agency problem solving partnerships and forums.
* Deliver highway enforcement and regulatory services to ensure compliance with the relevant provisions outlined within the Highways Act 1980 and the London Local Authorities Act 1990
* Produce high quality prosecution statements, case files, statutory notices, warning letters and educational material to support Council action to tackle offending behaviour.
What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate you will hold a relevant degree in Environmental Health or Acoustics, or hold a post-graduate diploma in Acoustics & Noise Control and hold membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) or Institute of Acoustics (IoA).
You will have experience in a similar frontline Community Safety, Consumer Protection or regulatory enforcement role. You will also have knowledge of the relevant legislation, including the provisions outlined within the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Police and Criminal Evidence Act, Criminal Procedure & Investigations Act 1996 and the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
Willingness to work outside of contracted hours in the evenings and weekends.
Full clean UK driving license.
