THE ROLE

I am now seeking an AIR QUALITY DIRECTOR to join a multi disciplinary firm of consulting engineers in their ENVIRONMENTAL division.

You will lead a team, get involved in business development, and work on air quality assessments and health and safety risk assessments for roads and highways in the public and private sectors.

This role could be based in Croydon, Surrey or in London.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a large international multi disciplinary firm of consulting engineers and construction consultants with many offices across the UK and further afield.

They offer good prospects for ambitious well qualified candidates.

They work with clients in the private and public sectors.

Recent projects for their Air Quality team have included working for Highways England, Thames Tideway Tunnel, London Olympic legacy, airports and more.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be Degree qualified in either a numerical science or environmental engineering or similar and possibly have a further post graduate qualification e.g. MSc Environmental Science or similar.

You will be chartered with full membership of a relevant professional body or have a certificate of further professional training such as MIAQM, BOHS, STA, MCERTS.

You must have had good experience of completing air quality assessments for road schemes, for residential and commercial developments, LAQM studies.

Particular experience of delivering air quality assessments using Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and WebTAG approaches is essential.

You will have a good understanding of air quality outlook.

You will have good experience of report writing.

You will need extensive dispersion modelling experience to predict air quality impacts.

You will have a good understanding of ambient air monitoring.

You will be able to do business development with both internal and external clients.

You will take responsibility for developing health and safety risk assessments for site work to ensure personal and team safety.

You must have previous management experience to lead a team.

You will computer literate using MS Office Suite.
