Internal Health & Safety Consultant - Construction

£30,000 - £36,000 + Benefits

The Client:

A leading construction consultancy, employing 225 people at their UK head office in Berkshire, as well as operating compliance offices across the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.

The Role:

To work closely with senior management and Directors, producing and managing a safe working environment for both internal and external stakeholders. You will be reviewing and updating policy and procedures, as well as acting as an incident office and accident investigator. You will be building relationships that allow safety initiatives to be bought into by staff. You will also get involved in supporting, coaching and training staff on HSE issues, as well as carrying out risk assessments at head office and also on company sites across the UK when required

The Candidate:

You will have a recognised HSE qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely or the NEBOSH General Certificate, and have a minimum of 3 years experience in a varied HSE based role, ideally in a construction or engineering environment. You will be an excellent communicator with good report writing skills, an ability to train and coach people, as well as possession a full UK driving license.

The Package:

A basic salary of between £30-36k is on offer depending on experience, along with 26 days holiday, a pension scheme and additional benefits. Ongoing career development is provided too. This is a Monday to Friday role, 37 hours per week
