THE ROLE

I am now seeking a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor able to join a firm of consultant QS's in the City of London.

You will be involved in a good range of high value projects for high rise buildings for commercial, residential and retail clients, also masterplanning, healthcare, education and some infrastructure projects.

Experience of managing and undertaking all MEP quantity surveying duties is required including having good pre contract cost planning skills.

This is a successful team with an excellent reputation so there are plenty of prospects to move up as the team is growing.

THE CLIENT

My client is a firm of construction consultants doing the full range of quantity surveying / cost management duties.

They have a large MEP team working on a good range of projects including high rise buildings, some infrastructure and more.

They are working on a range of high value projects including projects overseas as well as in the U.K.

THE CANDIDATE

Ideally you will have a BSc Hons, Diploma or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering and you will have around five years or more experience of working on both mechanical and electrical engineering services as a quantity surveyor having worked for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants.

You may be chartered with the RICS or similar and you must be able to run your own MEP projects.

You must have a good overall understanding of all aspects of building services engineering costs and have excellent pre and post contract experience.

At senior level you should also be able to supervise and mentor graduates, deal directly with client and work without supervision.

Salary is very negotiable from £70000 to £80000 per annum or slightly more plus benefits.
