I am seeking a GEOENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER to join my client, a firm of consulting engineers in their LEEDS office.
You will deal with site investigation surveys and reports, remediation strategy and advice, validation reports plus preparation of desk studies, supervision of fieldworks, interpretive reporting, technical support etc.
Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers workng on civil, structural, geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering for clients in the private and public sectors in the UK and abroad.
They offer excellent ongoing training and CPD and good training towards becoming chartered for those that need it.
You will need to have a Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental science or similar and you may have an MSc in Environmental Science or similar.
You may be working towards becoming chartered or already be chartered.
You should have around five years or more relevant experience of doing site investagations and be able to do desk studies etc.
You should have good report writing skills.
You should have the ability to plan and execute intrusive ground investigations.
You will need to be familiar with current UK legislation on risk assessment for contaminated land and be able to advise on remediation techniques.
You will need to have good communication skills for dealing with other engineers and clients plus good written English.
Salary is very negotiable according to experience plus pension, health insurance, and other benefits.
